Anthony is responsible for the day-to-day management of the “Wassa Amenfi Cocoa Landscape Initiative, Project in Ghana” funded by the Danida Green Business Partnership (DGBP) and implemented in collaboration with Solidaridad West Africa, Rikolto West Africa and Ferrero Trading Lux S.A. The project aims at expanding Ferrero’s sustainable cocoa sourcing, in line with new EU legislation by supporting the sourcing and traceability of deforestation-free cocoa, thereby boosting productivity, enhancing climate resilience, and providing additional income for cocoa farmers in the Project Area.
As an Agriculturalist and an advocate for a green economy, I have always had a strong passion to contribute to the protection of our Earth’s ecosystem and its environment. Preferred by Nature has a challenging job to protect the natural environment that we depend on and am glad to be part of the Team.
Anthony began his career as a District Agric Officer in charge of crops, with the Ministry of Agriculture from 2009 to 2013.
In 2013, he joined the Rainforest Alliance to deliver agriculture certification services as a Consultant. Over the years, Anthony has worked with several Certification bodies to undertake certification audits of LBCs, farms, plantations, factories and cooperatives to verify compliance with applicable standards across Africa and the Middle East - completing 350+ audits across 15 countries.
Anthony took up permanent role as a Senior Agricultural Specialist in 2019 and held another portfolio as an Assurance Specialist. In July 2023, he transitioned to the Projects Division as a Project Manager.
