Since the announcement of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) proposal in November 2021, Preferred by Nature has closely tracked its development, from its approval and entry into force on 29 June 2023, to the present day.
We bring years of experience supporting businesses and affected stakeholders with the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR) and continue to support stakeholders in implementing systems to meet or align with other regulatory requirements such as the EUDR.
Drawing from our extensive experience in working with businesses in responsible sourcing and production of various commodities, we are ready to support you with your EUDR conformance. We have developed the Sustainability Framework and related certification programme to align with the new EUDR requirements.
Supporting your EUDR alignment
To help organisations meet the requirements of the EUDR for products derived from forest and agricultural commodities, we have benchmarked the indicators in our Sustainability Framework with the new Regulation and selected 46 ‘regulatory’ indicators that we believe align with the requirements of EUDR at the forest/farm level.
These indicators can help businesses identify areas that need to align with the new law, as well as helping farmers and foresters identify pathways to producing legal and deforestation-free products.
