The PEFC trademarks help you to create visibility for your PEFC certified products.
You can use the PEFC trademarks to make your certified products visible and to promote your organisation's engagement in PEFC certification.
The PEFC trademarks
PEFC owns the following trademarks:
- The name Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification.
- The abbreviation PEFC.
- The PEFC logo.
The main options for PEFC trademark use
As a PEFC certificate holder, you can use the PEFC trademarks:
-
On-product - to label your certified products. You can print the on-product label on your product or its packaging. You can also use stickers, hang-tags or metal plates for on-product labelling.
-
Off-product - to promote your company and its certified products. You can include the PEFC logo and relevant claims in a wide array of company materials. Examples include your website, stationary, e-mail signatures, price lists, and product catalogues.
Note: As a certificate holder, you need to follow requirements for using all three trademarks. These are described in the PEFC Trademark Standard for certificate holders. There is no requirement for approval of your PEFC trademark use. However, we will verify your compliance with this standard during your initial PEFC certification assessment and each annual audit.
