Annabelle handles the Market development and sales strategies for Preferred by Nature services including RSPO, Rainforest Alliance Sustainable Agriculture, FSC, Timber legality, Sustainable Rice Platform, Sustainability Framework, Projects and tailored services and solutions. She is the Preferred by Nature “face” in the Philippines, building strong networks with clients, donors, NGOs and other stakeholders. Her role also includes being the Agriculture Lead for our Preferred by Nature Certification.
Whilst strengthening analytical and multi-tasking skills, my passion for social impact guides me always in each of any engagement. They are one of my primary look-out. It gives me fulfillment just as we sustain nature, we also uplift the stakeholders’ well-being.
Annabelle has implemented Rainforest Alliance and ISO 1400 certifications in a banana plantation before joining the RA-Cert since 2009 in conducting training, support and lead audits covering a wide array of products like banana, pineapple, coffee, tea, cocoa, abaca, coconut and palm oil. She continued to work with Preferred by Nature when it acquired the RA-Cert business unit.
Interspersed with it are various freelancing engagements with multinational companies and other certifying bodies. She conducted GAP analysis, key consultancy, monitoring and evaluation, risk assessment, supply chain audits, sustainability training and agricultural production audits in Asia (Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, China, India, Laos and Japan), in Oceania (Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Australia & New Zealand), and Alaska on various agricultural products, dairy and capture fisheries for various certification schemes/standards.
Her work in Preferred by Nature involves managing the execution of a wide range of certification services for a portfolio of clients including budgeting, service contracts, team identification, logistical planning, report review, liaison with clients and finalization of reports for approval; participating in audit teams mainly in the Philippines but also in other countries in the region; actively support on questions and disputes relating to active certification evaluations and clients consistent with the Dispatched Company, and certification scheme policies.
She also leads the launch of the Preferred by Nature Certification services in the agriculture sector. This includes being the connecting link between the SFP team and the agriculture team.
