Het doel van dit beleid is het beschrijven en reguleren van de manier waarop Preferred by Nature omgaat met geschillen met betrekking tot Preferred by Nature-klanten of Preferred by Nature-activiteiten.
Geschillen zijn onderverdeeld in twee brede categorieën: klachten en hogere voorzieningen. In het kader van dit beleid wordt de term klacht beschouwd als synoniem voor klacht - waarbij klachten op dezelfde manier worden behandeld als klachten.
Beroepen worden gedefinieerd als kwesties die door Preferred by Nature-klanten of -aanvragers worden opgeworpen tegen Preferred by Natures certificeringsbeslissingen of non-conformiteiten.
Klachten worden gedefinieerd als alle andere geschillen die door een persoon of organisatie worden opgeworpen.
