Below is a list of key standards that apply to SBP certified companies.
In addition, SBP has also published three instruction documents which define the requirements and options for collecting data which may accompany SBP-certified biomass throughout the supply chain. Instruction Documents 5A, 5B and 5C each cover a different topic from collection and communication of data, energy and GHG data to static biomass profiling data. The Instruction Documents 5A, 5B and 5C accompany Standard 5.

SBP Standard 4: Chain of Custody | Controls the flow of certified material throughout the supply chain. Sets out chain of custody requirements and trademark requirements. |
SBP Standard 5: Collection and Communication of Data. | Describes which data you need to collect and present.

SBP Standard 1: Feedstock Compliance Standard | Sets out criteria that must be evaluated during Supply Base Evaluations (SBE). SBEs must be conducted for any feedstock lacking an approved system claim. |
SBP Standard 2: Verification of SBP-compliant feedstock | Describes the methodology and quality criteria for conducting SBEs. SBEs entail risk assessment and potentially supplier verification and risk mitigation. |
