Update: Sustainability Framework 1.23

The Sustainability Framework is out in an updated version, where some small adjustments have been made to the existing provisions.

Update: Sustainability Framework 1.21

Following a second stakeholder consultation, the Sustainability Framework is now out in a revised and updated version. Version 1.21 includes both smaller adjustments of indicators and several key changes, greatly improving the framework. Here are some of them:

EUDR-compliance: The framework can now be used to demonstrate compliance with the new proposed EU regulation related to deforestation. Although the framework is much broader, the relevant indicators that are applicable for the EU regulation have been identified and aligned with the regulation.
Stronger indicators: Aspects related to migrant workers and indigenous people’s rights; simplification of animal welfare criteria and whole principle 4 on greenhouse gas emissions; development of clear list of prohibited chemicals.
Free to use: The Sustainability Framework is published according to ISEAL requirements and our Open Source policy under Creative Commons license. It can be used by any company or interested party as a framework to guide the implementation of sustainable practices.
Show your commitment: Preferred by Nature will use the framework for the services under its Sustainability Program and organisations compliance with the framework, may use the Preferred by Nature hummingbird seal to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability.
