Nicolas, as part of the Responsible Sourcing team, works with a range of clients in order to meet their legal requirements as well as sustainability commitments when sourcing forest linked commodities.
Working closely with leading companies on their procurement policies and building capacity along their supply chains positively impact the world’s forests. Their safeguard in mitigating climate change is key, and I believe Preferred by Nature has a strong role to play in order to achieve this goal.
Nicolas provides advisory services to clients in the timber industry and other natural resource sectors. More specifically, supporting the development and implementation of responsible procurement policies and systems as well as conducting training and verification audits.
Nicolas’ career in the sector began by working on the implementation and enforcement of the EU Timber Regulation for the British administration. Then, focused on advisory work to clients of the timber industry which led to him running the Monitoring Organisation activity as well as CSR projects for the French timber trade federation and its members.
With 10 years of experience in the forest and timber industry, backed with qualifications in geography and investigative practices, Nicolas brings a set of interpersonal and technical skills to Preferred by Nature.
