Daniel is responsible for coordinating and conducting agricultural supply chains audits within Germany and the region. He is also involved in overseeing a portfolio of clients in Germany.
Production and supply chain of agricultural products get more complex by the day. Certification schemes help to bring transparency and to identify gaps and possibilities for improvement in the processes. As a member of the Preferred by Nature team, I help to build trust around the supply chain and production of agricultural products and services.
Daniel has experience in production and supply chains at an international level and for a variety of products and services. This includes working in a retail garden centre in the USA, where he could learn directly about customers' inquiry on quality; scientific work on Life Cycle assessment in Chile on honey production following the ISO 14040 standard, and international production and commercialisation of seeds in Germany.
He also had close contact with rural communities and agricultural stakeholders in Venezuela during his bachelor’s studies.
Daniel has long been interested in sustainability and biodiversity topics and was, for over two years, the editor of a newsletter by the International Palm Society (ad honorem).
