Toms is involved in planning and executing audits according to accredited certification schemes, such as the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Controlled Wood, Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) Chain of Custody and Sustainable Biomass Program (SBP).
Having a strong belief in organisational change through sustainable practices and procedures, I have joined Preferred by Nature to encourage firms to integrate and maintain these principles in their daily operations with the wider goal of transitioning to a more sustainable, green global economy.
As a Supply Chain Specialist in Preferred by Nature, Toms' responsibilities include planning and executing audits according to international sustainability standards. Aside from that, he supports clients in meeting the requirements of the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR) as well as preparing for audits.
Toms is also involved in creating and implementing an overarching sustainability strategy.
