Andreas supports the development, coordination and execution of Preferred by Nature’s activities.
Preferred by Nature’s untiring commitment to ensure the sustainable use of the world’s natural resources, its global reach and multifaceted approaches are among others the reasons why I enjoy working with this organisation.
Andreas provides assistance to Preferred by Nature’s Executive Director in a variety of activities ranging from everyday tasks to supporting internal and external projects.
Andreas holds a BSc in Biology and a MSc in Forest and Nature Management, both from the University of Copenhagen. His professional experience includes protected area management, park-people relationships and timber legality risk assessments.
Andreas has previously undertaken two interships at Preferred by Nature. He undertook his first internship at Preferred by Nature’s office in Malaysia, assisting the development of management and business plans for national parks. The second internship was based in Preferred by Nature’s Aarhus office in Denmark, where he has supported the development of the Sourcing Hub, an online platform for commodity risk assessments.
Andreas joined Preferred by Nature in 2017.
