Natalia is responsible for providing advisory services to a portfolio of clients in different commodity sectors to support them in their goals to meet sustainability commitments and legal requirements, such as the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR) and the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
I believe it is our responsibility to provide our future generations with a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable planet. I am passionate to contribute on the challenge of building more sustainable food systems, which also makes me proud to work for an organisation that focuses on achieving positive impact on local people and the environment.
Natalia supports clients in the development and implementation of systems for responsible sourcing and associated activities, including policy development, supply chain engagement, risk assessment and risk mitigation activities such as supplier audits, capacity building, etc.
She began her career participating in governmental rural development programs to improve the livelihoods of small farmers in Chile, where she gave support for the creation and implementation of different technology transfer projects.
Most recently, Natalia worked in the palm oil production industry, where she supported an organic palm oil company in Ecuador to comply with different sustainable certification schemes such as USDA Organic, EU Organic, RSPO, Non-GMO, Fair for Life, Cosmos, etc.
She has a Bachelor of Veterinary and Animal Sciences from the Universidad de Chile and a Masters in Agribusiness from the University of Queensland.
