Forests contribute to sustainable development and ensure human well-being and a healthy environment across the globe. I like that my work can help shape a future where all the forests are productive and multifunctional.
Prior to joining Preferred by Nature, Gabriel worked as a Forest Engineer at the Polytechnical University of Valencia. He had also worked in the Spanish Confederation of Woodworking Industries, from 2009 to 2013. In this role, he provided technical support to different sectoral associations. He also served as a representative of the woodworking industry where he collaborated with the Spanish Forest Policy Directorate on different issues; in particular, in the implementation of the EU Timber Regulation in the Spanish woodworking sector.
Subsequently, Gabriel worked as a freelance consultant for companies from the forest-based industry and at the same time, he was also a Freelance Technical Writer for H2020 proposals until 2015. In the last few years, he worked as a project manager where he coordinated the preparation of research and design proposals looking for solutions to substitute plastics for bio-based materials in packaging.
